Supper in the Orchard: Chef Roberto Flores

Join us at Over the Hill Orchards and Winery for Supper in the Orchard featuring Roberto Flores of el Tropezon.

Roberto Flores De la Cruz was born in San Buenaventura Coahuila, Mexico. At 17 he moved to Kendal Saskachewan and attended Montmartre School. After learning English he returned to Mexico to study at the Institution Culinario De Mexico in Monterrey Nuevo León, México for two years. He went on to cook at his family's restaurant and spent time with a catering company before opening his own restaurant/bar "el Tropezon" in 2011 with the help of his family and wife, Valeria Romo. In 2015 Flores returned to Canada.

About Supper in the Orchard

The event begins on the outdoor patio (weather permitting) overlooking the beautiful valley, where you can enjoy a glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage. Attendees are seated indoors beside large picture windows where the owners, Dean and Sylvia Kreutzer, briefly discuss the history of the orchard and introduce the chef(s) for the evening. Between courses a 30-minute tour of the orchard is offered (weather permitting). Supper begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends around 9 p.m.
