Supper in the Orchard: Chef Benet Hunt

Join us at Over the Hill Orchards and Winery for Supper in the Orchard featuring Chef Benet Hunt.

Chef Benet has served as the corporate Chef within the Grassroots group for the past six years, showcasing his culinary talent and leadership skills. Starting as a Sous Chef at Ayden Kitchen and Bar two years after its opening, he swiftly ascended through the ranks to become the corporate chef for the expanding restaurant group. Benet has played a pivotal role in the launch of all the group's restaurants, including Ayden Kitchen and Bar, Little Grouse on the Prairie, Sticks and Stones, Avenue, and the upcoming Dojo Ramen.

A seasoned competitor, Benet showcased his skills on season 7 of Top Chef Canada. Prior to immigrating to Canada, he honed his craft in some of the UK's top restaurants, including the esteemed 2 Michelin Star Giddleigh Park Hotel, 1 Michelin Star Texture, and London's prestigious Alfred Dunhill Club. Additionally, Benet gained valuable experience in Sydney, Australia, working at highly acclaimed restaurants in the city.

About Supper in the Orchard

The event begins on the outdoor patio (weather permitting) overlooking the beautiful valley, where you can enjoy a glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage. Attendees are seated indoors beside large picture windows where the owners, Dean and Sylvia Kreutzer, briefly discuss the history of the orchard and introduce the chef(s) for the evening. Between courses a 30-minute tour of the orchard is offered (weather permitting). Supper begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends around 9 p.m.
