Join us at Over the Hill Orchards and Winery for Supper in the Orchard featuring Josh Miller and Gayla Gilbertson, together, these self-taught chefs share a deep passion for Saskatchewan foods and flavors, elevating them to new heights as "Food Soulmates."

Josh Miller, also known as the Bearded Prairie Chef, gained recognition as a top 3 finalist on MasterChef Canada Season 6. His love for food and the Prairies is evident in his passion for bringing people together over meals, creating memories, and exploring new culinary experiences. Since his MasterChef journey, Josh has continued to promote Prairie cuisine through various features highlighting local restaurants and producers. He offers intimate catering events, bringing his culinary expertise directly to people's homes.

Gayla Gilbertson, owner of The Happy Nun Cafe in Forget, SK, draws inspiration from her childhood experiences cooking with her grandmother and working on the family farm. She believes that food is not just about flavor but also about the memories it creates and the overall dining experience it provides. Through her cafe, Gayla offers elevated comfort food crafted with local ingredients, aiming to create a unique dining experience on the Prairies.

About Supper in the Orchard

The event begins on the outdoor patio (weather permitting) overlooking the beautiful valley, where you can enjoy a glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage. Attendees are seated indoors beside large picture windows where the owners, Dean and Sylvia Kreutzer, briefly discuss the history of the orchard and introduce the chef(s) for the evening. Between courses a 30-minute tour of the orchard is offered (weather permitting). Supper begins at 6:30 p.m. and ends around 9 p.m.
